Londons Falling

As many of you have heard by now, our dear friend Matt Ruiz was involved in a fatal car accident last Friday. At this point we are patiently awaiting news of his recovery. I would just like to take a moment to express our love for Matty and his many accomplishments as a friend, a musician, and recording engineer. Matty recruited me into the first punk band I was ever in called Last Resort where we shared countless good times and started to make our mark as musicians in the Ramona community.

Wow, an extensive duration without rhetoric! Well, comrades, that is what happens when Londons Falling is making up for time squandered. Sooooooooo, here is what has been going on and what is coming into light: Aaron and Fred have been quite impressive with their skills and have learned every single song off the Anxious Season album. We actually played the whole album from start to finish! That was a rush!! They have also learned quite a few songs off of Dichotomy, but there is still alot of work that needs to be done.

So a quick update on what is concoting in the LF camp. In recent developments, we had to undergo some changes to make this monstrosity called Londons Falling follow through into fruition. We had recently asked Zac to play since he has been a member of the family for the last five years, but due to rigid commitments, he had to decline and we support him with his decision since he will always be our brother in crime. And Ricky, the youngest of the group, has a commitment to his country that he has to adhere to and we support him and his endeavors.

Ricky and Sherry tied the knot!! Although they did this quite a few months ago they just had the reception. A good time was had by all. In a last minute decision, Kevin was nominated to give the best man speech, and he delivered like only he could. We laughed, we cried, we said our goodbyes, and before we knew it they disappeared into the sunset. Check out the pic.

There are times when we tend to forget that us (as individuals) are an integral part of society. It is difficult to maintain an allegiance to an organization that invokes some type of role in changing or contributing to a society as we continually progress with our everyday lives. Thus, it becomes a role that takes rational thought and not one that is innate that we all hope. As a group of people, problems can be rendering and exposed, but it is the resolution that is the most difficult part of the problem to obtain.

Good day to every species that traverses our planet earth. Depsite all the political elements from the prime minister of Iraq telling the U.S. and Iran to stay out of Iraq to good ole’ Hugo Chavez taking complete and total control of Venezuela, Londons Falling has begun constructing songs for our upcoming fourth release. There is so much going on in the world and our personal lives that this album will be filled with more blood, sweat, tears and beers than our previous albums.
